Magic Photography Represents Australian Childcare & School Photography at SPAC 2026
Representing Australia in Las Vegas
School & Sports Photographers of America (SPAC) Conference 2026
In January 2026, Magic Photography had the privilege of attending the School & Sports Photographers Annual Conference (SPAC) in Las Vegas. One of the largest and most influential gatherings in the global school and volume photography industry.
Even more exciting, our Director, Rodrigo Alvarado, was invited to speak at the event, sharing insights from Australia with industry leaders from across the United States and beyond.
For us, this wasn’t just a conference. It was an opportunity to contribute to the future of school photography at an international level.
As a leading provider of childcare and school photography services in Australia, Magic Photography continually invests in international best practices to ensure our early learning centres and schools receive world-class systems, compliance standards, and service.
What is SPAC?
SPAC (School & Sports Photographers Annual Conference) is an annual conference that brings together thousands of professional school and sports photographers, technology providers, print labs, workflow developers, and industry leaders from around the world.
The focus of the event includes:
- Innovation in school and volume photography
- Workflow efficiency and automation
- Child safety and consent standards
- Data security and privacy practices
- Improving the experience for schools and families
Being part of this event ensures we stay aligned with global best practices — not just local trends.
Rodrigo Alvarado Speaking at SPAC 2026
Rodrigo was invited to present on operational systems, A.I. and innovation, and raising standards in child-focused photography.
Drawing on over a decade of experience working with Australian early learning centres and schools, his session focused on:
- Building scalable photography systems
- Reducing administrative load for schools
- Using automation to improve consistency
- Maintaining high child safety and data standards
- Elevating the overall parent experience
The response was overwhelmingly positive. International operators were particularly interested in how Australian frameworks around privacy and child protection influence the way we design our systems.
It was a proud moment. Not just personally, but professionally. To represent Australian school photography on a global stage.
What This Means for Our Centres and Schools
Attending and speaking at SPAC isn’t about recognition.
It’s about responsibility.
It means that every centre and school we work with benefits from:
- Internationally benchmarked best practices
- Continuous improvement in workflow and service
- Stronger data handling and privacy standards
- Exposure to the latest technology and industry innovation
- A photography partner who invests in learning and leadership
We believe that schools and early learning centres deserve more than just “photo day.” They deserve a partner who is actively shaping the future of the industry.
Investing in the Future of School Photography
SPAC 2026 reinforced something we already believe deeply: The school photography industry is evolving.
Expectations around privacy, efficiency, parent experience, and operational systems are rising. And rightly so.
At Magic Photography, we are committed to staying ahead of that curve. Not by chasing trends, but by building strong systems, maintaining high standards, and continually investing in professional development at the highest level.
We are proud to represent Australia internationally. And even prouder to bring that knowledge back home to the centres and schools we serve.
